HDMI and CAT5/6 Distribution explained
HDMI and CAT5/6 Distribution via HDBaseT
HDBaseT is a globally recognised standard of Data Distribution that uses CAT cabling to extend the range of HDMI signals, so that they can be transmitted over longer distances. This gives you more scope to put cabling all around your property just once; knowing that you can use it universally for HD Audio and Video in your Home Theatre/Cinema, Home-Automation, (eg. Heating control), security and your computer network. The system also has the capability to include IR (Infa Red) communications for your TV remotes, Sky Link-up etc.
HDMI/Cat6 Cabling has a finite cable length for best picture quality, (50 metres), which is fine on smaller installations, but not for the larger, more complex systems.
